CASology - Letter

Hello -
I have a last minute entry to the current CASology challenge where the cue card is LETTER.  What a fun idea - so many great cards by the DT and in the gallery.  I immediately thought of the cute Saavy Stamps Mini Envelope Die and used that to create my card.  I cut the envelope out of some SU patterned paper and added a fun wood embellishment that I received as part of a prize package.  I was happy with the way it turned out; hope you like it too!

Curtain Call Tropical Trip

Hello friends!
Today I have a card to share with you that I made for the Curtain Call challenge

The fun inspiration photo brought a lot of ideas, but I thought about being in the tropics and sending postcards home to my loved ones!  So I created this fun card.  I used Lawn Fawn's great You've Got Mail stamp set and patterned papers from My Mind's Eye - Happy Day and Authentique - Gathering.

This is not my normal style of card - there are layers and patterned papers and big embellishments - I'm usually more of a CAS card maker, but it was fun to break out of the normal and do something different!  I hope you like it too!

Thanks for visiting me today!

OCC Catch Up

Hello !
I am playing catch up with my lessons for Online Card Classes.  This card is from Day 1.  I used Kristina's example in class and did a little watercoloring.  I love this lattice stamp from HA/Basic Grey.  I heat embossed it in white and then used my distress inks to watercolor it, going back in after the first layer was dry to add stronger color to the inside of the lattice.  A Lawn Fawn hello die cut, a couple of gems, and that's that!

Thanks for checking in!  Have a great day.

More Floral Stamps

Another day of fun at Online Card Classes.  My card today uses floral stamps in a whole new way.  This was a quick and easy card to make - and fun too!  I was really happy with the way it turned out.

I used the Hero Arts Thank You fancy die and cut it out of fun foam and white paper stamped with an older HA foliage set.  I used tide pool ink and added it to a tide pool panel also stamped with the same set.  I didn't have any white dots, so I made my own with Ranger's white enamel accents.

Now I need to catch up with last week's lessons from class and the fun play day they had today!  Thanks for looking.

Floral Stamps

Another fantastic day over at Online Card Classes!  All of the lessons were wonderful and the cards so gorgeous.  I loved Julie's wreath card, so that was the one I chose to make.  I used PTI's Garden Grace stamp set and a mixture of Stampin UP inks to create my wreath, and added Savvy Stamps Hello die across the middle of my opening.   I was worried that my die wasn't going to fit across the opening, so I kept adding flowers toward the middle of my circle, and then I ended up making it almost too small!   I was so proud of myself that I hadn't ruined all my stamping by cutting something wrong with all that fussy cutting - and then I go and smear my stickles at the end!!  (AGGGH!!)  But I was too invested at that point to start over.  Maybe a white gel pen will help cover it??

At first I thought this card would be hard to make, but after I started, it turned out to be really fun!  Julie never fails to amaze me with her talent!!

Graphic Stamps

Another fun day at Online Card Classes.  We focused on graphic stamps again, and in true Stretch your Stamps style, I used the same stamp set I used on yesterday's card;  Wplus9 geometric triangles.  This time I based my card on Kelly's great design using her stamps to create a border.

I used HA shadow inks in Pale Tomato and Soft Granite and the Savvy Stamps hello die.  This was pretty quick and easy (the hardest part was gluing those little pieces of the die cut back into place!) I think I will be using this technique again.   Thanks for looking!

Strech your Stamps 2

I am so glad to finally have some time to play with the ideas in the Online Card Classes Stretch your Stamps 2.  I loved all of the cards in today's lesson!  It was hard to pick which one to use as inspiration, but decided to start with Debby's great card.  I used Wplus9 geometric triangles and some HA shadow inks to create this fun and bright card.  The sentiment is from a great Paper Smooches set.  I am going to link this up to the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge as well.  (Thanks Kimberly!)  The inspiration photo over there is wonderful!!

Thanks for looking!  Have a wonderful day!
