Chocolate!! and a Halloween Card.

I'm sharing a card I made for CASology's cue card this week which is CHOCOLATE!  Who doesn't love chocolate??  I know I do...

I used the super cute Lawn Fawn Here's the Scoop set and stamped the ice cream cone with Fresh Ink putty and the scoops in HA Cup o' Joe ink.  The little cherry on top was added with Memento Lady Bug ink.  I popped up the stitched tag on a kraft base to help tie in the chocolate color.

I also made a card for the new Poppy Sketches challenge this week where the pops of color were Fresh Fig, Pale Purple and Forest Green.  I didn't have those exact colors, but did my best with patterned paper and some cute epoxy stickers.

World Card Making Day!!

Happy World Cardmaking Day!
What a fun day to celebrate the love of papercrafting and card making.  I was lucky enough to join a group of crafty friends and spend the afternoon talking, eating, laughing - oh and making a couple of cards too!

My first card features Stampin Up's White Christmas stamp set.  I created the panel with the Lil Inkers stitched rectangle die.  Then I stamped the trees and colored the background with a soft blue copic marker. I added the snowman with dimensionals.  I thought it was so cute that he was looking up at his new friend in the tree!  This set has a lot of cute images - so many possibilities.  Thanks Kimberly for letting me use it!!

My second card is from Neat & Tangled.  The turkey from the Turkey Talk set is just so cute!  I paired him with some fun autumn leaf patterned paper and colored his tail feathers to match.  I love the sentiment!  I am linking this up to Neat & Tangled Anything goes challenge.  (Thanks Amy!)   I am also adding this to Virginia's View Challenge.  Her theme this month is Clean and Simple!

Big thanks to Amy for hosting and to Tonya, Kimberly, and Lisa for such a fun day!  Hope you got to have some fun on World Cardmaking Day too!

Coffee Lover's Blog Hop Part 2

I was so impressed by my friend Tonya's 5 cards for the coffee lover's blog hop, so decided I needed to make another!  I used the same Fiskar's Latte Love set and colored it with watercolor pencils and a blender pen.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but I added some Wink of Stella to the hearts on the cups.  There have been a lot of fun coffee cards in the blog hop - have you added yours?

Fall Thank You

Hi All,
Just popping in today to share a fun fall card I made!

This card is copied from the wonderful Jennifer McGuire.  She created this beauty last fall, and when I found these leave stamps at JoAnn's I knew I needed to make a card like hers.   Her banner was made from solid cardstock, and I tried that first.  But I didn't like how it covered up so much of the pretty leaves.  So I decided to go with vellum for the banner instead.

Thanks for stopping by!

Home Sweet Home

My Brother - in - law and his wife just bought a new house, so off course that is a card occasion!!  I made this card with the Hero Arts Mia Casa stamp set.  I just love the house in that set - the perfect size for a card front.   I used SU paper from the calypso coral celebration add on kit.  The Home Sweet Home saying was pieced together from an HA Alpha set and a friendship sentiment set.
I got the idea of the little hearts coming out of the chimney from Darlene DeVries of Darlene Designs.  She is uber talented and I have learned so much from watching her videos.  I have also CASed her cards more than once :)

Since this card uses lots of patterned paper, I am submitting it to Virginia's View Challenge.  Love that challenge - always lots of inspiration there!

Merry Monday & NBUS

Hello!
I have a fun Christmas Card to share with you that I created for the Merry Monday Challenge.  And since it uses a stamp I bought last Christmas, it falls under the NBUS category and I will link it up to Darnell's challenge too.

Merry Monday's challenge was to use a present on your card.  I used the Memory Box Presents of Joy stamp and then watercolored in my gifts with distress inks Fired Brick & Worn Lipstick and Mowed Lawn & Peeled Paint.  I added the polka dots on the green gift with some white pigment ink after the watercoloring had dried. For a little interest, I added some splatter in both red and green.  Then I popped up the panel on a green card base.

Thanks for looking!  Are you glad the kids are back in school?  I am a little sad to see summer end, as we had such a great summer this year.  But it nice to get back into a routine again!
